Split Brain

As you may know, the human brain has two halves; a right half and a left half. Information is able to travel from one half to the other by crossing a bridge known as the corpus callosum. However, split brain refers to the situation in which the connections between the halves of the brain are severed…basically, the bridge is cut. Although there are some abilities that are lost by severing the connection between the halves, people are able to function quite well.
