A facial expression that lasts a fraction of a second. If you have ever been accurately accused of cheating on a test, you may have given a microexpression signaling your guilt or true emotions. Since microexpressions do not last long, they go undetected in our every day lives. Microexpressions are a type of nonverbal communication.
